Every tale is a psychological echo, warping the familiar, unraveling the ordinary, and leaving you unsure of what’s real.

We're casting voice talent to narrate short horror stories that will haunt our listeners in the best way possible.

LOOKING FOR CREATIVE WRITERS

VOICE ACTING AUDITION GUIDLINES

  •  Submit a demo reel demonstrating your talents

  • Demo reel must be submitted in an MP3 format

  •  Include your full name (pen name if applicable), list of previous experience (if applicable) and skills/specialties

  • If you have NO DEMO REEL please submit a horror monologue of 1-2 minutes in length

  • If you are casted you will be asked to sign a talent release

  • This is a volunteer opportunity. While we cannot offer payment, selected actors will receive full credit and promotion across our platforms

  • All recording is done online, you must have a way to record high quality audio at home

  • Must be between 5,000 – 10,000 words in length

  • Must be within the horror genre

  •  Racist, homophobic content will not be tolerated

  • We have the right to decline any content we deem is not appropriate or does not suit our guidelines

  • Include your full name (and pen name if applicable), title and word count of your story

  • Submit your story in a Word or PDF format with 12 size Times New Roman font

  • ORIGINAL WORK ONLY! You must own the rights to all the work you submit

  • All stories must be submitted in English

  • We only accept human-written content. Stories generated by AI tools will be automatically disqualified

  • Stories may be edited slightly for pacing, clarity or audio performance. Authors will be notified of any changes after editing consent is given

  • If you and your work is selected, you will be asked to sign a form consenting us to use your work for the podcast as well as for promotional content

  • This is a volunteer opportunity. While we cannot offer payment, selected authors will receive full credit and promotion across our platforms

FAQ

  • Yes! You can submit multiple different short stories, but they must all be sent as an individual submission.

    You can also apply to narrate more than one story.

  • Yes, all rights to your writing will remain yours. You are only giving us permission to use the content.

  • You will record the narration with your own equipment from the comfort of your own home (or studio) and send us the completed narration in an MP3 file.

  • Sometimes horror can get pretty graphic, deep and dark. And that content is what this podcast is about! All content is allowed except the following; slurs, racism, homophobia, non-fiction, fan-fiction and graphic erotica.

    If you are unsure if your content is appropriate for the podcast, you are welcome to submit it and ask.

  • We understand that boundaries are important and if any specific content triggers you or makes you uncomfortable, you do not have to narrate that story. Be open and honest with us about the content you will not narrate and we will choose a story best suitable to you.

  • FOR NARRATORS:

    After you submit a demo reel and get casted, you will be sent a story and its vision, as well as a talent release. You can book an online meeting with the director (Jessica Alexandria) to go over the story and its vision more in-depth, but this is not mandatory. After you record the narration you will email it to us in an MP3 file, along with a headshot and short bio.

    FOR WRITERS:

    After submitting your short story and getting it accepted, you will be sent a form to sign, granting us permission to use the story and stating you own all the rights to the work. Then you will be asked to submit a headshot and bio.
